Big Changes for Trinity: BJ’s and Home Depot Are Officially Moving In!

For years, the corner of SR-54 and Little Road has been the subject of rumors, "coming soon" signs, and community speculation. But this month, the dust finally settled. On February 13, 2026, formal construction plans were submitted to Pasco County, confirming that The Marketplace at Trinity is officially a go—and its anchor tenants are heavy hitters.

If you’ve been waiting for more convenience in the Trinity/Odessa area, your weekend errands are about to get a whole lot shorter.

The Heavy Hitters: BJ’s Wholesale & Home Depot

While the site has seen various concepts over the last decade, the newly filed plans solidify two massive additions to our local retail landscape:

  • BJ’s Wholesale Club: This won’t just be a warehouse; the plans include a full BJ’s Gas station, bringing some much-needed fuel competition to the SR-54 corridor.

  • The Home Depot: Local DIYers and pros can rejoice. The new location will feature a full Garden Center, saving many residents the trek down to the New Port Richey or Wesley Chapel locations.

More Than Just Big Boxes

The Marketplace at Trinity is shaping up to be a true lifestyle hub. Beyond the anchors, site plans have long indicated a "restaurant row" that is finally coming to life. While formal plans for every building aren't fully processed yet, current layouts show:

  • Olive Garden & LongHorn Steakhouse: Two highly anticipated sit-down options for family dinners.

  • Retail & Banking: Space for at least two additional retail buildings and a standalone bank.

  • Improved Traffic Flow: To handle the influx of shoppers, a new traffic light is planned for SR-54 and Cattle Ranch Way, which will serve as the primary entrance to the complex.

Why This Matters for Trinity

Trinity has seen explosive residential growth over the last five years, with communities like Starkey Ranch and Asturia bringing thousands of new families to the area. For a long time, the commercial infrastructure was playing catch-up.

The Marketplace at Trinity sits right at the intersection of Pasco, Hillsborough, and Pinellas counties. Its development signals that Trinity is no longer just a "commuter suburb"—it’s a destination.

Pro Tip: Keep an eye on the older renderings you might see floating around social media. If they don't show the BJ’s/Home Depot layout, they’re outdated! These new February 2026 filings are the first time specific businesses have put their names on the dotted line.
